The QMS & Risk Co-ordination Manager will oversee the development, review, and continuous improvement of the Operational Risk Management Policy and Framework, ensuring alignment with international best practices and regulatory requirements. The role also involves maintaining the strategic risk register and ensuring that risks are regularly updated, monitored, and mitigated through actionable plans. Additionally, the position will coordinate the development and implementation of a comprehensive compliance framework covering both internal policies and external regulatory obligations. Responsibilities for QMS & Risk Co-ordination Manager in Kenya
- Risk Co-ordination Manager will be responsible for coordinating and enhancing risk management, compliance, and quality management processes across the Corporation. - The role includes reviewing and updating the Operational Risk Management Policy and Framework, as well as related policies, to ensure they remain relevant and aligned with best practices. The QMS & Risk Co-ordination Manager will monitor the maintenance and updating of the strategic risk register, ensuring that all key risks are captured, assessed, and regularly reviewed.
- The job holder will coordinate the implementation of action plans arising from risk assessments, audits, and compliance reviews, ensuring timely closure of identified issues. This includes tracking progress, engaging stakeholders, and providing guidance to ensure effective mitigation of risks.
- Another key responsibility is coordinating the development and implementation of a compliance framework that addresses both internal and external obligations. The role involves working with line managers to identify compliance risks, assess their impact, and develop strategies to manage them effectively.
- The QMS & Risk Co-ordination Manager will plan and coordinate detailed risk assessments, including Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSA), ensuring that risks are properly evaluated and documented. The role also involves advising project teams to ensure that new initiatives incorporate business continuity considerations from the design stage.
- The job holder will manage third-party service providers involved in supporting business continuity management systems and ensure their performance meets organizational requirements. Additionally, the role includes coordinating post-incident reviews to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- The position also requires contributing to organizational efficiency by developing cost-effective strategies, designing policies and procedures, and supporting the implementation of improved business processes. The QMS & Risk Co-ordination Manager will coordinate the budget process related to risk and quality management initiatives.
