Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic financial leadership by developing comprehensive financial plans that support the organization's long-term business objectives.
- Prepare annual operating budgets, departmental budgets, rolling forecasts, and financial projections while ensuring alignment with corporate priorities.
- Monitor financial performance continuously and recommend practical strategies that improve profitability and financial sustainability.
- Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements that accurately reflect the company's financial position.
- Present management reports containing meaningful financial analysis, trends, and business recommendations to senior leadership.
- Oversee daily accounting operations to ensure financial records remain complete, accurate, and compliant with applicable accounting standards.
- Direct cash flow planning activities to maintain adequate liquidity for operational requirements and future investments.
- Supervise banking relationships, negotiate banking facilities where necessary, and monitor treasury operations.
- Lead payroll administration while ensuring accurate salary processing, statutory remittances, employee deductions, and benefit payments.
- Monitor revenue performance and expenditure patterns to improve financial efficiency across departments.
- Develop cost management initiatives that reduce unnecessary expenses while maintaining service quality.
- Strengthen procurement financial controls by reviewing purchase requests, expenditure approvals, and supplier payment processes.
- Maintain accurate fixed asset registers, coordinate asset verification exercises, and oversee asset capitalization procedures.
- Implement and continuously improve internal financial controls that safeguard company assets and minimize operational risks.
- Ensure full compliance with tax regulations, statutory reporting requirements, and all relevant financial legislation.
- Coordinate annual external audits, internal audits, and regulatory inspections while ensuring timely implementation of audit recommendations.
- Review financial policies regularly and recommend improvements that enhance governance and operational efficiency.
- Supervise, mentor, coach, and evaluate finance department staff to promote professional growth and high performance.

- Perform additional finance and management responsibilities assigned by the General Manager in support of organizational success.
Qualifications & Requirements
- The ideal candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business Administration with a Finance or Accounting specialization, or another closely related discipline from a recognized institution. Professional certification such as CPA (K), ACCA, or an equivalent internationally recognized accounting qualification is mandatory. Membership in a recognized professional accounting body with good standing is required.
- Applicants should have at least seven years of progressive financial management experience within the hospitality industry, including demonstrated success leading finance teams and managing complex financial operations. Strong knowledge of budgeting, management accounting, financial reporting, taxation, payroll administration, treasury management, internal controls, auditing, procurement finance, inventory management, and statutory compliance is essential.
- Candidates should demonstrate advanced analytical thinking, commercial awareness, strategic planning ability, excellent organizational skills, outstanding leadership capability, sound business judgment, and exceptional attention to detail.
