Key Responsibilities
- Build strong, long-term professional relationships with new and existing clients through exceptional customer service and trusted financial guidance.
- Conduct comprehensive financial consultations to understand each client's financial circumstances, objectives, priorities, responsibilities, and future aspirations.
- Perform detailed financial needs assessments covering investments, savings, insurance protection, retirement planning, wealth accumulation, and estate planning considerations.
- Develop personalized financial strategies that align with each client's financial goals, affordability, investment profile, and acceptable level of risk.
- Present clear, transparent, and well-structured financial recommendations supported by professional analysis and sound financial planning principles.
- Explain financial products, investment opportunities, insurance solutions, and wealth management options in language that clients can easily understand.
- Guide clients through every stage of the advisory process while ensuring informed financial decision-making.
- Prepare accurate quotations, financial illustrations, recommendations, and supporting documentation for proposed financial solutions.
- Maintain complete compliance with applicable financial regulations, internal policies, ethical standards, and professional conduct requirements.
- Ensure all client records, identification documents, compliance forms, disclosures, and advisory documentation are complete, accurate, and securely maintained.
- Process financial applications promptly while coordinating effectively with operational support teams and product specialists.
- Monitor application progress and provide regular updates to clients throughout the implementation process.
- Conduct scheduled portfolio reviews to evaluate investment performance, insurance adequacy, financial progress, and changing customer needs.
- Recommend suitable adjustments whenever financial circumstances, legislation, or market conditions require revised planning.
- Build a sustainable portfolio of clients through referrals, networking activities, professional relationships, and proactive business development initiatives.
- Collaborate with branch colleagues, relationship managers, and banking teams to identify opportunities for cross-functional financial solutions.
- Participate actively in sales planning sessions, business development meetings, and customer engagement campaigns.
- Maintain an organized client database with accurate records of meetings, financial reviews, follow-up actions, and future engagement schedules.
- Follow up consistently on pending business opportunities and maintain excellent conversion standards.
- Resolve client enquiries professionally while ensuring timely communication and effective problem resolution.
- Monitor commission records, production reports, portfolio performance, and business development activities with accuracy.
- Support adviser assistants by providing guidance, coaching, knowledge sharing, and performance encouragement where appropriate.
- Complete mandatory compliance training, regulatory certification updates, and internal professional development programs within required timelines.
- Remain informed about emerging financial products, regulatory developments, investment trends, economic conditions, and industry best practices.
- Demonstrate integrity, professionalism, confidentiality, accountability, and sound judgement in every client engagement.

Qualifications & Requirements
- The ideal candidate should possess a recognized qualification in Finance, Financial Planning, Banking, Insurance, Business Administration, Economics, Commerce, Investment Management, or another relevant discipline. A regulatory qualification equivalent to an approved NQF Level 5 Financial Services qualification together with recognized financial advisory certification will be considered a significant advantage. Professional accreditation relating to financial planning, investments, wealth management, or insurance advisory is highly desirable.
