Job Description

The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) is inviting applications from motivated, ambitious, and highly organized graduates to join its Architectural Services Graduate Internship Program. This opportunity is designed for recent university graduates seeking practical exposure in architectural planning, infrastructure development, facilities management, and public sector project implementation within Kenya's Judiciary. The internship provides an excellent platform for young professionals to strengthen their technical competencies while gaining valuable workplace experience under the guidance of experienced architects, engineers, project managers, and administrative professionals. The selected interns will participate in projects that support the Judiciary's ongoing efforts to modernize court infrastructure and improve access to justice through quality public facilities. Interns will gain practical knowledge in architectural design reviews, building documentation, construction monitoring, space planning, renovation projects, facilities assessments, compliance procedures, and infrastructure planning. They will also develop a deeper understanding of how architectural services contribute to the efficient delivery of judicial services across Kenya. Throughout the internship period, successful candidates will work under assigned supervisors who will provide structured mentorship, continuous learning opportunities, and practical assignments aligned with professional architectural standards. Interns will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams involved in planning, engineering, procurement, project coordination, records management, and facility maintenance while observing established government regulations and institutional policies. This internship is intended to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and professional practice by exposing graduates to real workplace challenges, project coordination processes, technical reporting, stakeholder engagement, and ethical decision-making. Participants will strengthen their analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and professional discipline while contributing to meaningful infrastructure initiatives that support the Judiciary's constitutional mandate. The program offers a twelve-month non-renewable internship with a monthly gross stipend of Ksh. 25,000. Deployment may be at any designated court station, tribunal, directorate, or departmental office across the Republic of Kenya depending on organizational requirements. Applicants should therefore demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and readiness to serve in different regions. The Judicial Service Commission is committed to maintaining integrity, transparency, accountability, professionalism, and equal opportunity throughout its recruitment process. Individuals selected for this internship will become part of an institution dedicated to strengthening the administration of justice through effective infrastructure planning and sustainable public service delivery. Graduates with strong academic backgrounds, excellent interpersonal abilities, high ethical standards, and genuine enthusiasm for architecture are encouraged to submit their applications. This internship presents an outstanding opportunity to establish a strong professional foundation while contributing to the development and modernization of Kenya's judicial infrastructure.
