Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in Educational Psychology using learner-centred teaching strategies that promote active participation and academic excellence.
  • Prepare comprehensive lesson plans, teaching materials, course outlines, practical learning activities, and assessment tools aligned with approved curriculum standards.
  • Design, review, and continuously improve course content to reflect current educational research, professional practices, policy developments, and technological advancements.
  • Develop innovative instructional methods that accommodate diverse learning needs while enhancing student understanding and academic performance.
  • Facilitate seminars, tutorials, workshops, laboratory demonstrations where applicable, and other academic learning sessions.
  • Evaluate student assignments, examinations, research projects, presentations, and practical work fairly, accurately, and within established timelines.
  • Maintain accurate academic records, student attendance registers, grading documentation, and course reports in accordance with university regulations.
  • Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research projects while providing constructive academic guidance throughout the research process.
  • Conduct independent and collaborative research that contributes to knowledge creation within Educational Psychology and related disciplines.
  • Prepare competitive research grant proposals and seek funding opportunities from local, regional, and international organizations.
  • Publish scholarly articles in reputable peer-reviewed journals and contribute book chapters, conference papers, and other academic publications.
  • Present research findings during academic conferences, professional forums, workshops, and scholarly seminars nationally and internationally.
  • Participate in curriculum review exercises to ensure programs remain responsive to industry expectations and educational best practices.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary teaching initiatives, academic projects, consultancy assignments, and institutional research programs.
  • Mentor students by offering academic guidance, career counselling, personal development support, and professional advice throughout their studies.
  • Support departmental quality assurance activities, accreditation processes, and compliance with University academic standards.
  • Participate actively in departmental meetings, faculty boards, academic committees, and institutional planning sessions.
  • Contribute to student recruitment activities, orientation programmes, graduation events, exhibitions, and community outreach initiatives.
  • Integrate digital learning technologies, virtual learning platforms, and innovative educational resources into teaching and assessment processes.
  • Encourage ethical conduct, academic integrity, professionalism, and respect within all learning environments.
  • Build productive relationships with external education stakeholders, schools, professional associations, and research institutions.
  • Participate in consultancy assignments that strengthen institutional partnerships and enhance professional practice.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing teaching quality, research performance, and student satisfaction.
  • Provide timely reports and updates to departmental leadership regarding academic progress and assigned responsibilities.
  • Assist in developing new academic programs that respond to changing educational and workforce needs.

  • Perform additional academic or administrative duties assigned by the Head of Department or other authorized University leaders in support of institutional objectives.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Applicants must possess a bachelor's degree in education psychology from a recognized and accredited university together with a master's degree in educational psychology from a recognized institution. Candidates should have a minimum of three years of relevant post
